Bruno Torturra is a Brazilian independent journalist, editor, and media producer. He began his professional career in 2002 at Trip magazine, where he worked for eleven years and eventually served as editorial director. He became a pioneer in live internet streaming and mobile broadcasting during the early 2010s street demonstrations in Brazil, which led him to co-found and conceptually design Mídia Ninja, a collaborative digital journalism network that gained widespread public prominence during the 2013 protests.Torturra’s professional focus centers on alternative media monetization, digital culture, and the socio-political impacts of algorithmic distribution networks. He established the independent broadcasting collective Estúdio Fluxo, hosting talk programs and digital news updates such as Boletim do Fim do Mundo and Córtex. In mainstream network production, he served as the head scriptwriter and editor-in-chief for seven seasons of the political satire program Greg News on HBO Latin America, and currently co-hosts the political commentary podcast Calma Urgente!.
